PROJECT PROPOSALS APPROVED FOR CO-FUNDING WITHIN HUNGARY-CROATIA IPA CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION PROGRAMME
The first call for Proposals within the framework of IPA Hungary-Croatia Cross Border Cooperation Programme was launched on the 26 of March 2009. Five project proposals submitted by PORA Development Agency of Podravina and Prigorje were approved for co-funding and PORA participated in all five projects as project partner and project associate in cooperation with both Hungarian and Croatian partners.
PROJEKT DRAVIS2 – Development of Disaster Management Information system along the Drava River in the region near the border
The lead beneficiary was Somogy County Directorate for Disaster Management from Hungary.
Project partners were Koprivnica Križevci County, PORA Development Agency of Podravina and Prigorje, Osijek-Baranja County, Baranya County Directorate for Disaster Management National Emergency and Disaster Information Service of Hungary (RSOE).
Project Associates were National Protection and Rescue Directorate – Regional protection and rescue directorate Koprivnica, National Protection and Rescue Directorate – Regional protection and rescue directorate Osijek, National Protection and Rescue Directorate – Regional protection and rescue directorate Virovitica.
The main objective of the project was to improve sectoral cooperation in the field of disaster management by introducing innovative technologies to improve the protection of nature, environment and human life.
Activities involved designing a concept of information exchange and cross-border cooperation in disaster management, organization of a training in information exchange, GIS measurements in cross-border region, joint field research and elaboration of the case study on wildfire prevention.
The project lasted for 16 months (from 1st April 2010 to 31st July 2011).
Total value of the project was 337.942,00 EUR. The Budget granted to PORA was 16.326,00 EUR.
