The project “POZDRAV – Improving primary health care in the Koprivnica-Križevci County” has been approved for funding under the competition “Improving access to primary health care with a focus on remote and deprived areas through investments in the needs of primary care providers”, from the European Fund for Regional Development.

Project duration: 53 months, from February 1st 2015 to June 1st 2019

Total Eligible Cost: HRK 8.007.322,55.

EU co-financing is 83,68%.

Overall project objective: Improving access to quality primary care at the primary level, especially in isolated and deprived areas of the Koprivnica-Križevci County, which will reduce the number of patients in hospitals in the local area by at least 1%.

Specific project objective: To improve the conditions of provision of primary health care services in the Koprivnica-Križevci County Health Center, with particular emphasis on offices in 7 remote areas of the Koprivnica-Križevci County through investment in equipment and infrastructure.

Project activities include minor infrastructure interventions at 7 offices in remote areas, procurement of medical and technical equipment for all concessionaires and employees of the Koprivnica Health Center. Also, technologically advanced lighting will be installed in Koprivnica and Đurđevac, tactile tapes and panels will be installed on Braille, and LCD screens will be installed in waiting rooms in Koprivnica, Đurđevac and Križevci, where information and educational content promoting gender equality and non-discrimination will be displayed.

PORA Regional Development Agency of Koprivnica Križevci County provides expert and technical support in the preparation and implementation of the project.
