LAG MURA-DRAVA

 

Local Action Group Mura-Drava was founded on the 15th of October of the year 2012 from 9 local self-government bodies from the Međimurje and Koprivnica Križevci Counties. From Koprivnica Križevci County in Local Action Group Mura-Drava is included Municipality Legrad. All members of the LAG Mura-Drava are representatives of public sector, economy sector, family farms and NGO’s from the LAG area of influence.

The area of influence of LAG Mura-Drava is 287,94 km2 with 29.083 inhabitants.

The main objective of the LAG is sustainable development of the whole area through implementation of the local development strategy which represents the basic strategic document and determines guidelines for future development. The local development strategy is based on the special characteristics of the local area.

Other objectives of LAG Mura-Drava include:

  • strengthening the agricultural production competitiveness;
  • strengthening the visibility potential of the LAG area through development of rural tourism and additional activities;
  • improvement of living conditions of local inhabitants.
