VEC SHARING

The project “VEC Sharing – Cross-border Vocational Education Capacity Sharing” has been approved for funding within the First Call for Proposals for INTERREG V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020. financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Lead beneficiary was the Vocational School of Koprivnica.

The project partners included the Kolping János Nagyváthy Primary, Secondary Technical and Craft School from Csurgo, Kolping Catholic Primary and Secondary Technical School from Nagybajom, Stjepan Sulimanac High School from Pitomača and PORA Regional Development Agency of Koprivnica Križevci County.

The project duration was 16 months; from the 1st of October 2017 until the 31st of January 2019.

The total value of the project was 243.545,00 EUR.

EU co-financing was 85%.

The overall project objective was to improve the skills and knowledge of students and professors through mutual exchange of knowledge with colleagues from the cross-border area, for professions welder, chef, baker, confectioner and farmer.

Project activities included the exchange of students and professional practice for welders, cooks, bakers, confectioners and farmers; development of professional programs for the mentioned practices; procurement of necessary equipment; research of the labour market for the mentioned occupations in the cross-border area, development of a common trilingual cookbook, joint sporting events and joint exhibitions.

Results: Held weekly and bi-weekly professional practices for the professions of welder, cook, baker, confectioner and farmer for students of all schools involved in the project, a joint vocational program was prepared, a labour market analysis was conducted for five professions in the cross-border area and joint events were organized.
