HELPING HAND
The project HELPING HAND was approved for financing under the call for proposals “Expanding the Network of Social Community Services – Phase 3” from the European Social Fund.
The project lead is the Mariška Seniors Club.
The project partners are the Koprivnica Križevci County, Croatian Red Cross – Križevci and PORA Regional Development Agency of Koprivnica Križevci County.
The duration of the project was 14 months – 21.09.2015. – 20.11.2016.
The total value of the project was 1.318.913,18 HRK.
EU co-financing rate was 100%
The aim of the project is to improve employment opportunities for long-term unemployed women and to promote harmonization between work and family life by developing new and improving the quality of existing social services in the community.
Project activities included conducting verified training courses for 35 unemployed women, conducting training on starting their own business, conducting training on how to present themselves to the employer and hiring 23 women certified to take care of elderly persons. Also, one of the project activities includes coordinating the work of the hired caregivers in the field. In addition to providing salaries for 23 unemployed persons new equipment and supplies used by the caregivers will be procured from the project funds.
