COMMON CROSS BORDER STRATEGY
Project Common Cross Border Strategy was launched on the 1st February 2014. The project was supported within the third call for proposals of the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.
The lead beneficiary in the project was Somogy County and project partners were PORA Development Agency of Podravina and Prigorje and Development Agency of Bjelovar-Prigorje County. Project associates were Koprivnica Križevci County and Bjelovar-Bilogora County.
The value of the project was 114.201,47 EUR in total. PORA was granted a budget of 21.764,50 EUR.
With the main objective of enhancement of Croatian-Hungarian capacities for strategic planning, the project will serve to create a Strategy for cross-border regional development and create prerequisites for well-coordinated Croatian – Hungarian team for strategic planning which might become future intellectual and institutional base for future cross-border development projects.
Project activities involve development of baseline studies for development of cross-border region on both sides of the border and coordination and adaptation of legal differences between two countries, including the differences in infrastructure, economy and social structure.
The studies will involve the following sectors: regional development, agriculture, tourism, environment protection, industrial development, energy policy, water management, transport, services market, investment policy, development policies and social integration.
The project will last for 16 months.
