PROJECT MOBILE REGION
PROJECT PROPOSALS APPROVED FOR CO-FUNDING WITHIN HUNGARY-CROATIA IPA CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION PROGRAMME
The first call for proposals within the framework of IPA Hungary-Croatia Cross Border Cooperation Programme was launched on the 26 of March 2009. Five project proposals submitted by PORA Development Agency of Podravina and Prigorje were approved for co-funding and PORA participated in all five projects as project partner and project associate in cooperation with both Hungarian and Croatian partners.
MOBILE REGION PROJECT – improvement and development of the labor market in the region near the border
The lead beneficiary was Međimurje County.
Project partners were Western Transdanubian Regional labor center, Zala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Croatian Employment Service – branch offices Čakovec and Varaždin and PORA Development Agency of Podravina and Prigorje.
Project associates were Hevizi micro-regional Association, Municipality of Keszthely and Croatian employment service, branch office Križevci.
The main objective of the project was to foster labor mobility on cross-border labor market by launching a regional employment web site and to enhance the support institutions capacity on the labor market in the cross-border region.
Project activities involved comparison of statistical data regarding the cross-border labor market, creation of a joint study on labor market trends and demands, organization of 20 workshops for support institutions working in the labor market for unemployed, employed, students and parents, organization of 4 job fairs in Croatia and Hungary, organization of a conference on cross-border labor market and publishing project promotional materials.
The project lasted for 16 months (from the 1st May 2010 to the 31st August 2011).
Total value of the project was 211.714,00 EUR. PORA budget was 14.366,00 EUR.
